Whilst many have been surprised by the unexpected results throughout 2016; Brexit, Donald Trump, Leicester City, to name but a few – one thing has remained constant – Citystay Serviced Apartments commitment to delivering an outstanding guest experience!

Let’s take a look back at all the things that have happened in Citystay’s Timeline of 2016 before having a sneak peek at what to expect in 2017 from Citystay – Cambridge’s Award Winning Serviced Apartment Provider and only Corporate Accommodation Specialists.

Jan 2016

The year started with a renewed sense of purpose at Citystay as we had just been Awarded the Best Guest Experience Award at the annual Association of Serviced Apartment Provider (the A.S.A.P.). One of the least surprising results of the year!

This was a great affirmation of the focus our entire company places on delivering an outstanding guest experience every time! As well as a few well deserved pats on the back this gave us a deep determination to continue to improve all aspects of the Citystay operation!

Feb 2016Exterior at Vesta

As Citystay’s growth continued, we added the Vesta apartments to our increasing portfolio. Situated in Cambridge’s increasingly popular CB1 Development, these stunning newly built 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments are just a 2-minute walk from Cambridge Railway Station and 15 minutes from the historic City Centre, making them ideal for both business and leisure travel.

March 2016

In late spring Citystay launched the first Global Apartment Network in Cambridge. Summer 2016

Wine TastingAfter a busy start to the year, we moved into the Summer Months with our first annual Summer Party.

July 2016

On the 19th July, which turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year, we invited our customers, suppliers and friends to the stunning Madingley Hall for our inaugural Summer Party.

An evening of food, drinks, games, live music, wine tasting and much more was held to raise money for the Lifeline Fund – the charity Citystay are proud to support.

A raffle was help with some fantastic prizes being won including 2-night luxury stays in London, indulgent hampers, cases of Champagne and many more. The evening was a true success and the money raised on the evening funded a once in a lifetime safari trip for 50 orphans to The Lengwe National Park in Malawi. Once again we would like to thank all those who kindly donated prizes, bought raffle tickets and attended the event – we hope to see you at the next one in 2017!

September 2016

On Thursday 22nd September, the Citystay Serviced Apartment team were charged with a mission, which we chose to accept, to descend into the Cambridge Science Park. Our brief – spread the word of the endless benefits of using Citystay Serviced Apartments in Cambridge for corporate travel. Armed with give-aways, prizes, vouchers, goodies and more, the Citystay team landed into the Science Park, putting smiles on faces of everybody we met, including existing and prospective clients.

As the nights drew in, the light was still firmly on Citystay as for the 8th consecutive year we were awarded the 5 Star Self Catering Award and Gold Award for Outstanding Level of Customer Service and Quality of Accommodation by Quality in Tourism.

As well as this Citystay were also nominated and shortlisted for the Cambridge News Property Awards ‘Corporate Responsibility Award’ for our association with the Lifeline Fund. Sadly, we didn’t win the award but it was fantastic to be recognized and the awareness of the needs of those less fortunate highlighted.

In late December we opened the doors to the latest addition to our portfolio – Vesta, for clients both existing and prospective to come and enjoy some Champagne and Canapes, meet the team and enjoy the surroundings of our three-bedroom apartment. Many thanks to all of those who turned up to sign off the year in style!


Looking ahead to 2017

Moving into the New Year Citystay’s growth plans continue as the company goes from strength to strength. As our main focus is on providing an outstanding service to our customers, we are looking to develop our ever increasing portfolio of luxury Serviced Apartments in Cambridge as well as continuing to develop our global network.

Cambridge continued development means that 2017 promises to be Citystay’s best year to date!
